Meet Chris Higgins

I studied architecture, followed by business, at the University of Technology, Sydney Australia. My part-time student job as a bartender grew into a passion, and I worked in events and hospitality management in Australia, US and UK.

In 2005 I came to India to work on the opening of Whistling Woods International, an Indian film school located in Film CIty, Mumbai, I headed admissions, international affiliations, and short course development for the next 3 years.

I spent 2009 and 2010 launching the Indian division of an international BTL media sales agency – SpaceandPeople. Our revolutionary approach (introducing technology, professionalism, and transparency into a cluttered, unprofessional industry) was a huge success. In less than two years I developed India’s largest network, ever, of managed BTL space.

Currently I am in Hyderabad, heading marketing for an upcoming media school – the largest and best equipped in all of Asia. It is a very exciting project and I’ll shortly start blogging about my experiences here.

What else?

I watch lots of movies. I watch great television, but only full series box sets. I blog here. I write film scripts. I’m learning indian bansuri flute. I’m learning hindi.

I don’t get nearly enough time to read the books I keep buying, but I’m always trying. Really trying.

My musical taste are absurdly diverse – my Ipod features everything from hindi film music, western classical, country to rap, and even weird singer-songwriter stuff.

I now live in Hyderabad, after 5 years in Mumbai.
