I am a Business Head at IdeateLabs – a very exciting digital marketing agency in Mumbai, India. IdeateLabs has been running for almost 20 years and has some of the best, most experienced and most passionate talent in the industry!
What I do:
For many decades, advertising didn’t change much. You had TV, radio, newspapers, outdoor, direct mail and a few other bits and pieces. There were established, time tested ways to use all these channels. Success in advertising meant using these channels well, perhaps creatively, perhaps unexpectedly.
Then along came the internet (and smartphones). The world of advertising is a very different place today. Far more varied and far more confusing. Programatic? SEM, SEO, CRO? Penguins and Pandas? Web 2.0, 3.0? Snapchat? Adblocking and Adblocking-blocking?
Most of my work today is helping companies to negotiate the new marketing landscape. IdeateLabs works with brands (Indian and international) to understand their business objectives and to map out a path through the current digital technology.
I try to approach each of my clients as if it was my own company. If it was my own money to be spent, how would I spend it? What choices would I make?
I work with an amazing range of organisations, from startups to Fortune 500 names and love the variety of new challenges that this brings across my desk each week.

In the past (what I did before what I do now):
President of Annapurna International School of Film + Media, in Hyderabad, India – a creative arts / liberal arts university. I was part of the initial launch team, and grew the institute from a startup to a successful, financially sustainable venture over 5 years.
National head of business development in India for UK media sales agency SpaceandPeople, where I built India’s largest network of managed promotional space and coordinated over 150 promotional campaigns for major brands in the auto, media, FMCG, IT, travel and banking sectors.
Founding head of admissions and affiliations at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai – a top Indian film school. At WWI, I established some very cool connections and exchange programs with media schools in Australia, the US and the UK. I developed India’s first internship program for US film students, and secured significant funding from the UK government to develop UK/India educational ties.
I have lived and worked in India, the US, the UK and Australia – with experience in marketing, hospitality management, education and startups.
