This month, McDonalds puts some heritage in their burgers, we get an Instagram tour of street art in Toronto, discover an employee handbook for hackers and Qantas helps you to make your co-workers jealous. Enjoy!
McDonalds – What’s Cooking?
Here is a clever series from McD’s, that aims to reposition their dishes from ‘fast junk’ to ‘crafted dishes with heritage’. It sounds like a stretch, but the first film in the series does a decent job.
Kenzo – The Realest Real
For the launch of Kenzo’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection, we get a short film by Carrie Brownstein that explores the boundaries that separate us from celebrities, in a world where we are all using the same social networks.
Hacking Inc – Employee Handbook
Hewlett-Packard wanted to promote their IT security tools and services, so they partnered with The Atlantic, to create an employee handbook for a hacking company. The website cleverly portrays HP as the adversary to all hackers, advising employees to hack companies that are not associated with HP. Instagram tour: Toronto’s Graffiti Alley
Heritage Toronto took 800 photos of a 1km stretch of the city’s street art and stitched it all together into an Instagram tour. Many of the tiles have background info about the area and the art. The account is here: https://www.instagram.com/graffitialley.to/
Qantas Out of Office
Out of office emails are boring. After all, if you are having a fabulous vacation, shouldn’t everyone come to know about it? Why just send a few lines on when you will be back? Qantas has solved your problem with their new travelogue feature. Input your trip details and connect your Instagram account. As you travel, tag the photos you want to share with #qantasoutofoffice. Whoever emails you during your trip will get a link to a webpage that shows off your selected travel pics.
That’s all folks!
